Georginio Wijnaldum has confirmed the misunderstanding between Liverpool attackers despite having secured a 2-1 win over Tottenham on Saturday afternoon.
On Sunday evening, Wijnaldum has liked a fan comment on Instagram regarding Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
The Merseysiders have dominated the game as they caused problems in Spurs’ defence but they failed to score more goals.
The Reds had many chances to kill the game off early when it was 2-0 but Jurgen Klopp’s men failed to make it.
Therefore, some club’s fans have revealed that there is a problem between Salah and Mane.
Meanwhile, when one fan expressed his opinions on Instagram, Wijnaldum, who scored the opening goal has come out with a ‘like’ to the post.
The fan wrote: “What characterised Liverpool’s attack last season was the teamwork and understanding between Salah, Firmino and Mane.”
“It doesn’t matter who scores but who is in the best position to assist a goal.”
“But this season it’s only single play, especially from Mane, who showed today in the Tottenham match by not passing to Salah for more than one chance.”
“I do not really know why. It is an ego [thing].”
“I think Jurgen Klopp should fix the situation before it costs him important matches and maybe championships.”
However, the Dutch midfielder has admitted that he accidentally liked the post while scrolling through his phone.
“I accidentally liked this comment while I was scrolling through the comments,” he replied on Instagram.
“So don’t worry, there’s no ego trip. We’re a team and we know that.”
Liverpool have won all their five Premier League games this season in which Mane scored goals while Salah netted twice.
