Jose Mourinho has revealed that former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has to be happy for one reason after the 2-2 draw with Arsenal at Old Trafford last night.
Mourinho was in shortage of defenders as he was without the likes of Victor Lindelof, Phil Jones, Antonio Valencia and the suspended Ashley Young.
Young full-back Diogo Dalot was handed a full game start but after the game, the Portuguese boss made a huge claim about the summer signing’s performance.
“Gary Neville must be thinking now Manchester United has a very good right-back for 10 years,” Mourinho told the BBC.
“We drew 2-2, but we scored four goals, and even when we play well we always shoot ourselves.”
“Reality is, in last four matches we didn’t lose. Bad results yes, but we didn’t lose.”
“We shoot ourselves so many times during the season,” Mourinho continued.
“Big soul by the players, fantastic attitude from the first minute.”
“Some good performances, some players in difficulty, Dalot, Rojo, Darmian, Bailly, Smalling – the boys left their souls.”
“We should win the game. We made two big mistakes for the goals.”
“The second goal comes in an awful moment when the team was on top of the game.”
