Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed his favourite player to the World Cup this summer in Russia.
The Portuguese boss was asked to pick his favourite group winners and the second for the tournament.
Mourinho, who will be football pundits during the 2018 World Cup, has claimed – before his selections – that doesn’t want to be emotional.
However, he finally did it as he admitted: “I don’t want to be emotional but I will have to be.”
“I will make contradictions because I want my players to win, but I also want my players to go on holiday.”
Asked about his World Cup group-stage predictions, Mourinho told RT: “So Group E, Brazil wins. I need Matic to go on holiday so it’s Switzerland to finish second.”
“I’m sorry Nemanja but you need a holiday.”
Matic, who joined United in the summer of 2017 from Chelsea, has been an influential player for Mourinho during the 2017-18 season.
The 29-year-old Serbia international played 36 league games, starting 35 of them and also made six in the Champions League.
