Stoke City forward Saido Berahino has finally scored a goal. The English striker netted last night in a 2-0 win against Huddersfield Town to help the Potters progress to the next round in Carabao Cup. The last time he netted a goal in any competition was in February 2016 for West Brom. The drought took him 913 days and 47 games. Today, we want to focus on longest striker goal droughts in Premier League history.

6. Jeremie Aliadiere- 39 Games

Former Arsenal, West Ham, Middlesbrough striker Jeremie Aliadiere went for 39 games without scoring a goal in Premier League. He netted his first goal in 2003 for the Gunners then struggled to find the net until 2007/08 season with Middlesbrough.

5. El-Hadji Diouf- 40 Games

Former Senegalese international forward El-Hadji Diouf also went through a 40 games goal drought. The controversial striker did everything to make the news. He was introduced to the World in 2002 when his country reached the quarterfinals. He played for Liverpool, Bolton, Sunderland, and Blackburn Rovers among others. The biggest problem was discipline but how that is linked to such a long goal drought is still a mystery.

4. Ronny Rosenthal- 45 Games

Tottenham Hotspurs fans will not want to be reminded so much about their former striker Ronny Rosenthal. The 54-year-old also knows pretty well he failed the Spurs fans. He went for 45 matches without scoring a single goal. In the end, he only netted 4 goals for the club in 88 matches. However, he had better spells at Liverpool where he scored 14 goals in 66 matches.
