Spain legendary goalkeeper Iker Casillas has many records. He achieved everything a football player can wish for during his time as number one keeper at Real Madrid. He also played 167 times for the La Roja making him the second most capped player in Europe. He was the Captain when his country lifted World Cup 2010 and EURO 2008 & 2012. Vitālijs Astafjevs of Latvia also registered 167 Caps.
6. Iván Hurtado- 168 Caps for Ecuador
Debut: 24 May 1992/ Last Cap: 14 October 2014
40 year-old Iván Hurtado played 42 minutes of his farewell match, which ended El Salvador 1-5 Ecuador. He won 168 caps for La Tricolor.

Manchester United winger-cum-defender Antonio Valencia will be looking to emulate Iván Hurtado in the books of Ecuador national team. The legend played 168 times for his South American nation. He remains the most successful defender in the history of the country.
5. Hossam Hassan- 169 Caps for Egypt

Hossam Hassan Hussein is still a very popular figure in Egypt. He was a fierce striker during his time. He played says times for the North African football giant scoring 69 goals. He is the current manager of Al-Masry in the Egyptian Premier League.

Gianluigi Buffon is coming to the end of his career. He reportedly wanted to play for Italy in 2018 Russia World Cup but Sweden knocked them out in European playoffs. AC Milan wonder kid Gianluigi Donnarumma has now officially taken over from him.
The legendary keeper was in the team that lifted the 2006 World Cup in Germany. He was also in the team that lost 4-0 to Spain in Euro 2012. He has seen it all in football.
