Premier League fans will have to wait for at least two weeks to enjoy club football again because it is now time for the International break. The English division is looking very interesting indeed with 3 teams tied at the top. Manchester City is not having their way like last season because Liverpool and Chelsea are staying close. Today, we want to celebrate goalkeepers achievements. We want to recognize seven shot-stoppers with Premier League Golden Gloves since the award was launched in 2004.

Manchester United Goalkeeper David De Gea finally won Premier League Golden Gloves award after keeping 18 clean sheets in 2017/18 season. It was his first time to win it since he arrived in 2011 from Atletico Madrid. The Spaniard is now the seventh shot-stopper to lift the award since it was launched in 2004. It is also the second time the Red Devils are winning it since 2008/09 when Edwin van der Sar won it. It is a great motivation for the men between the posts.

Former Chelsea shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois lifted his only Golden Glove in 2016/17 season when he kept 16 clean sheets to help his side lift the Premier League title under new boss Antonio Conte. Last summer, he ditched London for Madrid.

Former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny lifted the Golden glove in 2013/14 season. The Poland International was thrown to the deep end early on in his career by Arsene Wenger but he did well. He kept 16 clean sheets that season to beat Petr Cech and Joe Hart for the award. He was the lucky man to succeed the legendary Gianluigi Buffon at Juventus.
4. Edwin van der Sar- 1 Golden Glove
Former Manchester United shot-stopper Edwin van der Sar retired with one Premier League Golden Glove. The Netherlands international lifted the award in 2008/09 season when he helped his side lift the Premier League title with 21 clean sheets. We all remember the Red Devils lifted UEFA Champions League in the same year.
