Former Arsenal winger Tomas Rosicky has revealed that the Gunners’ defensive impairment is the only negative of new manager Unai Emery.
The North London side have suffered two consecutive defeats against champions Manchester City and London rivals Chelsea this season.
The Gunners, who played four Premier League games under Emery, have scored eight goals and conceded eight too.
Therefore, former Arsenal star Rosicky has admitted that his former side’s defensive weaknesses will be the only negative aspect for the Spanish manager.
“There are some positives, some negatives,” Rosicky told the Evening Standard.
“We have to get used to it and we would all like to see the team grow.”
“The team is scoring goals, even in difficult games like Chelsea away, which is important.”
“There are a lot of positives obviously, a lot of negatives as well because the team is conceding.”
“But Unai Emery is very experienced and was successful everywhere he has been.”
“I trust him and I hope he will do well and we will see the team grow and develop.”
Rosicky spent a decade at the Emirates Stadium under Arsene Wenger before being dominated by injuries which restricted him to just 247 appearances in all competitions.
