Europe top giants will know their opponents in UEFA Champions League last 16 today when the draw is done in Nyon, Switzerland. Real Madrid defeated Rayo Vallecano 1-0 at home thanks to a 13th-minute goal from Rayo Vallecano. It was another poor performance by the Los Blancos after a mid-week shameful defeat against CSKA Moscow in UEFA Champions League.
Luis Suarez scored the opening goal for Barcelona in the 5-0 win against Levante away from home. It was a complete performance by Ernesto Valverde side against a team that denied them an ‘Invincible’ season last term.

Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund won their matches last weekend to maintain the 9 point gap between them. The Black and Yellow army defeated Werder Bremen 2-1 thanks to goals from Paco Alcacer and Marco Reus.
The Bavarians were hoping for a better weekend but a 4-0 win against Hannover did not send any type of shock waves towards Dortmund. Niko Kovac men are still 9 points behind them. The goals were scored by Robert Lewandowski, Joshua Kimmich, David Alaba and Serge Gnabry.

Chelsea defeated Brighton 2-1 to solidify the fourth spot on the Premier League table. Eden Hazard was the engine behind the Blues goals because he assisted Pedro opener in the 17th minute then scored the winner in the 33rd minute. The win lifted them to 37 points, 3 ahead of Arsenal and five behind second-placed side Manchester City.
