UEFA Champions League and Europa League are back on our screens this week. The group stages will be entertaining this year given the kind of matches lined up. For instance, On Tuesday, PSG will face Liverpool at Anfield, Inter Milan will also play Tottenham at Wembley on the same night. However, before we get to that stage, let us recognize the best performers in Europe, five top Leagues, last weekend. We look at how the stars performed for their clubs.

5. Cavani, Draxler & Di Maria- 3 Goals

Paris Saint-Germain gave absolutely nothing away last weekend ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool. The Ligue 1 giants were missing Neymar (not ready) and Mbappe (suspended) but they still hammered St. Etienne 4-1 at home. The goals were netted by Julian Draxler, Edinson Cavani, Angel Di Maria, and Moussa Diaby. The squad is very strong and Jurgen Klopp must be ready for a titanic battle at Anfield on Tuesday.

4.Tolisso, Robben & Rodriguez- 3 Goals

There is no stopping Bayern Munich once again this season. In fact, unlike last season under Carlo Ancelotti when they started poorly, this time around they are leaving no prisoners. Last weekend, they destroyed Bayer Leverkusen 3-1 at Allianz Arena to maintain a 100% record. The host goals were scored by Corentin Tolisso, Arjen Robben and James Rodriguez.

3. Suarez & Dembele- 2 Goals

Barcelona came back from 1-0 down to win 2-1 away from home against Real Sociedad. This match has always been the toughest for the Catalan giants. They had not won there for over ten years but since last season, the story has changed. Luis Suarez started the comeback with the equalizer in the 63rd minute and 3 minutes later, Ousmane Dembele secured all three points with a great goal. The win means Camp Nou side is two points clear at the top because Real Madrid was held to a 1-1 draw by Athletic Bilbao.
