The weekend promised and delivered so much after a great entertainment in European football last week. All top clubs needed to make some changes to be able to compete after long trips abroad. Chelsea long and delayed trip to Greece for Europa League on Thursday is already having a negative impact on the team League performance. However, all was good for most of the teams in their local leagues. Today, let us look at how six top stars performed for their clubs in Europe 5 best leagues last weekend.
5. Lewandowski & Rodriguez

This season, it will take a miracle for any team in Bundesliga to stop Bayern Munich. The Bavarians are flying and last weekend they smashed Schalke 04 2-0 away from home. The opener for the visitors was scored by James Rodriguez in the 8th minute. Robert Lewandowski then made it 2-0 in the 64th minute via a penalty. Niko Kovac can relax easily because everything is going according to plan.
4. Angel Di Maria- 1 Goal

PSG is back to winning ways after that 3-2 defeat in the hands of Liverpool in UEFA Champions League. The wounded lion came from 1-0 down to win 3-1 away from home against Rennes. Adrien Rabiot opened the scoring for the hosts with a catastrophic own goal in the 11th minute. Angel Di Maria rose to the occasion with a super goal in the 45th minute to equalize for the visitors. Thomas Meunier and former Stoke City striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting netted two more goals to secure the points for the Paris side.
3. Mohamed Salah- 1 Goal
Liverpool is on fire and only Chelsea can stop the flames when the two meet at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. The Blues dropped 2 points this weekend after a 0-0 draw in a London derby against West Ham. They know a win against the high flying Reds will be a psychological blow to them and a boost in Sarri Camp. However, we can’t forget that Mohamed Salah is still not playing at his best despite that scrappy goal against Southampton last weekend. This is the kind of match he needs to kick off his season. It will be another Hazard-Salah battle.
