With Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool all tied at 20 points at the top of the table, the Premier League title is still open to any team. But the season itself has started in exhilarating fashion, seeing some stellar performances. But which players would make the league squad lineup at the moment? Here is the Premier League team of the season so far.

Some would go for Liverpool keeper, Alison Becker as the best goalkeeper in the league so far. But West Ham’s shot-stopper Lukasz Fabianski has the most saves in the league (36) and the most recoveries in the league (85). The Polish keeper has also controlled his box impressively well, making 6 claims and 5 punches.

10. Right-Back: Hector Bellerin (Arsenal)

Slowly picking up..

After a bad start against Manchester City and Chelsea, the Gunners have gained the confidence once again. Hector Bellerin has improved his game since, giving two assists and recovering his position more often. He is thriving under the new manager now. If Hector Bellerin is able to continue this balance, Arsenal can extend their 9-game winning streak.

9. Centre-Back: Virgil Van Dijk (Liverpool)

Liverpool’s main problem last year was a weak defense. Now that Virgil Van Dijk has fit into the squad very well, the kops are a threat to any European club. The Dutch defender has formed a solid defensive unit with Joe Gomez which has given Liverpool 5 clean sheets till now.

8. Centre-Back: Aymeric Laporte (Manchester City)

Joining Manchester City from Athletic Bilbao for £57 million, Aymeric Laporte did not disappoint. The French defender has been heavily involved in the build-up for the defending champions. He has the second most touches and passes in the league, only behind Chelsea midfielder, Jorginho in both categories. His average pass percentage is a staggering 92%.

7. Left-Back: Marcos Alonso (Chelsea)

Under Maurizio Sarri, Marcos Alonso has been an offensive threat the whole season providing two assists as well. It’s rare to find a left-back with the engine to get up and down the pitch and ran to the penalty areas. Alonso is the right choice when it comes to taking free kicks in Chelsea.
