Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard has blamed his brother Thorgan to have triggered his injury on Monday evening during Belgium friendly game with Costa Rica.
The Red Devils have recorded a 4-1 win over the Ticos as they prepare for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Hazard, who set up one of those four goals was substituted in the 70th minutes after picking up a knock on his leg.
However, Borussia Monchengladbach Thorgan has told reporters that this elder brother blamed him for the injury.
“It is not the time to take risks. He had done enough in the game to be able to come off. Eden said it was my fault,” Thorgan said.
“When I wanted to pass to him, it fell a bit short and the defender caught his knee a little bit.”
“But I don’t think it is anything serious. Eden has grown in strength during the three friendlies that we’ve played.”
“He has shown he can take the team to the top. We’ve seen we need Eden at his best if we are going to do anything in the tournament.”
Belgium head coach Roberto Martinez has claimed that Hazard is ‘okay’ and described his injury as a ‘dead leg’ ahead of the World Cup.
