Italian football fans could not believe their luck last summer when five times World player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo decided to ditch Real Madrid for Juventus. It is the kind of transfer Serie A needed to reclaim their position in European football. The league has been through a difficult time in the last few years. AC Milan and Inter Milan decline have opened doors for total dominance by the Old Lady. However, stars like CR7 will bring television money back and clubs can sign better players. Today, we want to look at five players involved in most goals in the Italian League so far.

5. Ciro Immobile- 6 Goals & 1 Assist

Lazio was unlucky or maybe too soft in the final three games of 2017/18 season. A Champions League spot was theirs to lose but they watched helplessly as Inter Milan snatched it away from them. This has carried onto this season because they are currently 5th on the table with 18 points. Ciro Immobile like last season has been their best player so far with 6 goals and 1 assist. He has played 834 minutes so far.

4. Lorenzo Insigne- 6 Goals & 1 Assist

Napoli is not flying like last season under Maurizio Sarri but they are also doing better in UEFA Champions League thanks to Carlo Ancelotti experience. The Naples side is joint-second but with an inferior goal difference as compared to second-placed Inter Milan. Lorenzo Insigne is their pilot at the moment with 6 goals and 1 assist. He has played only 670 minutes.

3. Mauro Icardi- 6 Goals & 2 Assists

Inter Milan redemption train continues to silence critics. The once fallen giants are back and they are leaving no prisoners. San Siro side is now second in Serie A, 6 points behind leaders Juventus. Mauro Icardi has been a perfect driver for them. He continues to score crucial goals when it really matters. So far, the forgotten Argentine has netted 6 goals and assisted 2 more in the League alone.
