Italian Serie A is set to return this coming weekend after the winter break. The biggest clash will be between second-placed Napoli against fourth side Lazio in Naples. League leaders Juventus will welcome Chievo at home, Inter Milan and AS Roma will host Sassuolo and Torino respectively. AC Milan will travel to face Genoa on Monday. Today, we want to highlight the League-best scorers by mid-season as the Italian championship starts the second half this coming weekend.

5. Ciro Immobile- 10 Goals (2 Assists)

Lazio was unlucky or maybe too soft in the final three games of 2017/18 season. A Champions League spot was theirs to lose but they watched helplessly as Inter Milan snatched it away from them. This must be rectified this season. Ciro Immobile like last season has been their best player so far with 10 goals and 2 assists. They are currently occupying the 4th spot at the moment, one point ahead of AC Milan who is fifth and seven behind third-placed side Inter Milan.

4. Duvan Zapata- 10 Goals (3 Assists)

Atalanta never seems to run dry when it comes to talent despite constant raids by big clubs. This season, they decided to go for Sampdoria out of favour striker Duvan Zapata. The result is 10 goals and 3 assists by mid-season. The 27-year-old Colombian is certainly enjoying his loan deal. The club is currently ranked 8th on the table with 28 points, four behind Lazio who are fourth on the log.

3. Fabio Quagliarella- 12 Goals (5 Assists)

Italian legendary striker Fabio Quagliarella is still going strong at the age of 35 years. Sampdoria is getting the juiciest years of his career. This season so far, he has netted 12 goals and assisted 5 more in only 19 matches. His team is 7th on the table with 29 points, only three behind 4th placed side, Lazio.
