Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has warned his former side not to sack Jose Mourinho at this stage and has insisted that they need to keep faith with him.
Different media reports, fans and pundits are seriously calling United to sack the Portuguese boss after this weekend’s Premier League clash.
The Red Devils will take on Newcastle United on Saturday evening at Old Trafford with Mourinho is looking to bounce back following a 3-1 defeat to West Ham United last week.
But Giggs, who was in attendance at Old Trafford in midweek as United drew 0-0 with Valencia, has warned United that they risk going back to square one if they sack Mourinho.
“They’re going through a tough time at the moment,” the Old Trafford legend told reporters.
“I said that last time, where do they go? Change now and you’ll be in the same position in a year or two years quite possibly. I believe he should keep his job.”
The 20-time Premier League champions have now played four matches without a victory in all competitions.
Mourinho is said to have fallen out with a number of his first-team key players, including Paul Pogba, Alexis Sanchez, Anthony Martial, Eric Bailly, Marcus Rashford and Antonio Valencia.
