Former Chelsea left-back Scott Minto has revealed that Eden Hazard could be waving goodbye to Stamford Bridge in the near future.

Real Madrid are seriously interested in the Belgian’s signature and the playmaker has repeatedly revealed that the European champions have been his boyhood dream.

Hazard’s current deal with the Blues is due to expire in 2020 and has refused to sign an extended contract.

Therefore, former Premier League star Minto believes Hazard is irreplaceable at Stamford Bridge if he decides to leave.

When asked how the Blues could replace Hazard, Minto replied: “You can’t.”

“The only way you can do it gets unbelievable money for him, and then get two or three players to really build the team better because you can’t replace him.”

“He is getting to the point where he’s in the [Lionel] Messi and [Cristiano] Ronaldo class, and I do worry for Chelsea if he does go, and I do worry that he will go.”

“He clearly loves playing for Chelsea, but I think it’s been a boyhood dream of his to play for Real Madrid. And when that’s the case and you’re not English playing in English football, dreaming of playing for Real Madrid, the biggest club in the world, then the lure of that could be just too much.”

“The way to keep him – it’s not a monetary thing, I think they could offer him all the money in the world – but it’s just to say: ‘look, you’re enjoying your football under Sarri, tell me the role that you want and we’ll build the team around you.’ And they won’t do that at Real Madrid.”

Hazard, 27, joined the Blues in 2012 from Lille and has since gone on to score 101 goals in 322 appearances.
