Chelsea and Liverpool have received a green light to run for the signature of their transfer target as the club president has confirmed that midfielder could leave the club this summer.

Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivere has made it clear that Ivorian midfielder Jean Michael Seri will be allowed to look for another challenge abroad this summer.

The 26-year-old has been strongly linked with Premier League move as clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool are all interested in the player’s service.

The midfielder has also emerged as Barcelona target last summer, but the deal eventually failed to materialise.

“We are here to help players to improve, that is the case with him. Mika Seri is in the same category,” The Mirror quotes Rivere as saying.

“A very good player who has brought a lot to the club and can legitimately have that desire to go and play abroad.”

Seri, who has been a Nice player since 2015, has scored 11 times in 121 appearances for the French side.

Meanwhile, the former Paços de Ferreira has a current market value of £35 million.
