The list only includes goals scored after the year 2000.
5. Samuel Eto’o- 411 Goals
Africa is represented by Samuel Etoo in the top five best scorers in the 21st Century. The legendary Cameroon striker has so far netted 411 goals for club and country. The forward has netted goals for Barcelona, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Everton, and Mallorca among others. The 36-year-old is currently playing for Turkish side Konyaspor. He netted 56 goals for his West African country in 118 caps.
4. Luis Suárez- 425 Goals
Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has so far netted 372 goals in his club career and 53 for his country Uruguay. This brings his 21st Century total to 425 goals. The attacker joins his teammate Lionel Messi as South America representatives. The 31-year-old helped his country reach the quarter-finals in Russia 2018 World Cup. He also scored 31 times to help the Catalan giant lift La Liga and Copa Del Rey double.
3. Zlatan Ibrahimović- 483 Goals
Former Manchester United star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is slowly coming to the end of his career in US Major League Soccer. The Big Swede has netted 15 goals in 17 appearances since joining LA Galaxy earlier this year. He also played for PSG, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Barcelona, Juventus, Ajax, and Malmo scoring 421 goals. The former Sweden Captain also netted 62 times for his country. The 36-year-old career total since 1999 is 498 goals but in the 21st Century, his tally is 483 goals.
