English Premier League has become a playground for billionaires. Some pundits now call the Championship the new NBA of football. There is no problem with wealthy men buying clubs and splashing the cash left, right and center. However, when success comes out of it, it does not feel very natural to the fans. Take, for instance, Manchester City, the club has been transformed since the 2008 takeover. They have won three league titles since the arrival of Sheikh Monsour. The question many people are asking if for how long this will continue. Today, we want to take a look at the seven richest owners in Premier League today.

Manchester United is owned by American billionaire family called The Glazers. The late father called Malcolm Glazer bought the club in 2005 but he later died. His sons Avram and Joel Glazer took over as co-Chairmen to date. The fans opposed the deal and a section of them are still unhappy with the Americans family even today. They have been blamed for lack of proper investment since Sir Alex Ferguson left the club in 2013.
However, since the family too over 13 years ago, the club has won 5 League titles, 1 FA Cup, 1 League Cup, 1 UEFA Champions League, and 1 Europa League crown. They will need to do more to compete with the new richer owners at Manchester City. The Glazer family net worth is estimated at £2.49bn today. The family also owns NFL franchise Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Crystal Palace narrowly escaped relegation last season after a disastrous start under Dutchman Frank De Boer. Roy Hodgson came in and steered the ship to safety. UK businessman Steve Parish who is also the current chairman owns only about 18% of the club. The main owners are US billionaires Joshua Harris (net worth £2.4bn) and David Blitzer (net worth £1bn). The two men also own New Jersey Devils (NHL), and NBA franchise Philadelphia 76ers. They will need to support the manager to avoid another tiring relegation fight.

Fulham is back in the Premier League after beating Aston Villa in Championship playoffs last season. The club owner Shahid Khan will be very happy indeed because this clearly means his investment is bearing fruits already. The American made his wealth selling motor vehicle spare parts in the US. He is a barrier breaker because he became the first person from a minority community to own an NFL Franchise called Jacksonville Jaguars. Today his net worth is estimated to be around £5.43bn.
