For some, not speaking English’s not a massive issue. Football is a universal language which most can understand but it can hinder the settling process, or ease and seal marketing deals. However, some players won’t even try to learn. These world class players can’t speak English, and maybe won’t.
5. Diego Costa
Having moved to Chelsea from Atletico Madrid, and back to Atletico again, footage of the Brazilian born-Spanish international attempting to speak the local lingo in London has been incredibly rare, if not none. It is funny how the spanish striker spent three years in London, but still won’t speak a word.
'Fuck' and 'off' are the only words Costa knows in English.

4. Roberto Firmino
Roberto Firmino is Brazilian so speak Portuguese, and he still cannot speaking great English having been in England for three years now. However, that doesn’t keep the trio (Salah, Mane, Firmino) from performing miracles. Salah and Mane’s English is great in fairness, but when you see all three on the pitch, it’s like they’ve been playing together for years.
Lallana: "Firmino doesn’t speak brilliant English but I’ve got that relationship with him on the pitch where you don’t need to be speaking."

3. Neymar Jr
The world transfer record may not have seen the importance of learning English while in Spain, but now that he is Paris, and still tipped to move to England, Neymar needs to learn some words in English. He hangs out with American stars, and one would think he can actually speak the lingo, but he can’t.
I'm still trying to understand how neymar is friends with all these celebrities without speaking English
