Brazil striker Roberto Firmino has indicated that he is doing his best to convince Roma goalkeeper and fellow countryman Alisson Becker to join Liverpool.

Alisson, who joined Italian side in 2016 from Internacional, has since impressed at the Stadio Olimpico over the past two years.

The Brazilian’s great performances have made him being linked with a number of big European clubs and Liverpool amongst.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly looking to replace his current goalkeepers Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet, whose performances are seriously poor at the club.

“Every once in a while I give him a pinch to come to Liverpool to help us and such. But it’s with his agents,” Reds forward Firmino told the Daily Mail.

“It would not hurt if he came to Liverpool.”

The Selecao shot-stopper is expected to be the first choice goalkeeper for Brazil coach Tite during the World Cup.
