Bayern Munich star Matt Hummels has dismissed the stories claiming that the Bundesliga side will have an advantage over Arsenal when the two face each other in Uefa Champions League in February because of the winter break.

The German giants last played in December 21 and will only play their first game on January 20. The Gunners on the other hand has played 3 League games and 1 FA Cup third round clash in the same time.

‘I think that it won’t affect both teams at this early stage,’ Hummels said.

‘We and Arsenal will have our rhythm and until then we have three compulsory games.

‘So I think that it won’t have an impact that they didn’t have a winter break.’

Bayern has eliminated Arsenal in several occasions in the past and many don’t expect this year to be any different.
