Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has ruled out Neymar’s potential return to the Spanish champions.

The Brazil international winger made a shock move from Barcelona to French side Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017.

The 26-year-old has been strongly linked with a move away from Parc des Princes during the summer transfer window.

Real Madrid have emerged as potential suitors but recent reports suggest that Neymar is linked with Catalan side return.

However, Blaugrana’s chief Bartomeu has insisted that there are no plans to bring him back.

“We don’t plan to sign anyone in January unless the coaches ask for someone before then,” he told Catalunya Radio.

“It’s a smaller squad because we have B team players who can make the first team.”

When asked about Neymar’s potential return to the Camp Nou in the near future, Bartomeu replied: “Neymar? He left and there are no plans to bring him back.”
