Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has revealed Ousmane Dembele’s future following transfer speculations this summer.
Dembele, who only joined Barcelona in the summer of 2017, has been strongly linked with away move from Camp Nou with PSG emerged as potential suitors.
Arsenal have also revealed an interest in the France international but the Blaugrana’s manager admits the club has high expectations for him.
“I don’t know if he needs matches like today, that is a question for him,” he said when asked if the player had received a confidence boost.
“He is with us and we have high expectations for him. He has great quality and is here with us.”
“He took part and he scored a goal, which I think is something to be happy about. As the game went on, he got better.”
Barcelona have sealed their first title of the season after beating Sevilla 2-1 to win the Spanish Super Cup.
Dembele, 21, who scored four times in 23 appearances last season, struck the winner in the second half of the game.
