Arsenal playmaker Jack Wilshere has revealed what he is planning on his future after much speculations on where he will play next season.

Wilshere, whose contract at the Emirates Stadium is due to expire at the end of this month, has been with the Gunners since the age of nine.

The 26-year-old, who scored 14 times in 197 appearances for the Gunners, has been strongly linked with away move the Emirates since last summer.

But the England international has eventually opted to stay for one more season as the playmaker is now looking to extend his contract with the North London side.

However, talks over an extension have so far failed to see the two parties reach an agreement, and now the midfielder is likely to leave the club.

Wilshere has now posted a quote on his Instagram story which read: “There comes a time when you have to choose between turning the page and closing the book.”

Wilshere has been with the club since 2001and has been loaned out for two times – to Bolton Wanderers and Bournemouth.

New club manager Unai Emery is believed to be keen on keeping Wilshere at the Emirates Stadium, but the midfielder is likely eager to end his 17-year association with the club.
