Meanwhile, it was recently reported that the Blues have held talks with Juventus over the centre-back’s move.

But the 23-year-old’s agent Davide Torchia has admitted that Rugani will not force his move because he is happy at Allianz Stadium.

“The interest from Chelsea is there for Rugani,” he told Radio Sportiva prior to Juventus’s meeting with Bayern Munich in the International Champions Cup.

“Beyond the figures, though there’s a technical question, neither the player nor Juventus have ever said they want a sale.”

“The operation with Chelsea is separate from Higuain; each deal has a different cost and different dynamics. The two players can bring in different profits. Rugani is calm and happy, he’s at the pre-season training camp and he’s thinking about Juventus.”

“Tonight he’ll play against Bayern Munich, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have offers, just that he’s thinking of his current club, which is at the highest level.”

The Italy international permanently joined the Old Lady in 2013 from Empoli but has made a debut for the first team in 2015.
