Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has hinted at his future after pouring water on new manager Unai Emery’s arrival at Emirates Stadium.

The Welshman, whose current deal at Arsenal is due to expire at the end of the 2018-19 season, has revealed that Emery’s era will be an exciting time.

The 27-year-old, who is yet to sign a new contract with the North London side, is believed to be Emery’s central of his plans.

Ramsey’s future at the Emirates has been doubtful following Arsene Wenger’s departure, but the midfielder revealed his future lies at Arsenal.

Ramsey was Wales captain during his side’s goalless draw against Mexico on Tuesday night as the South American side prepare for the World Cup campaign.

Asked – during the post-match press conference – if he was looking forward to working with Emery, Ramsey replied: “Of course. I haven’t spoken to him at all yet, but I think it’s an exciting time for the club.”

“I can’t wait to get back there now.”

Ramsey, who joined the Gunners in 2008 from Cardiff City, scored 58 goals in 327 appearances in all competitions.
