WEEKEND BEST: Top 5 Best Players in Premier League last weekend

Premier League matchday 29 is done and dusted. Manchester City is now closer to clinching their third Premier League crown after thrashing defending Champions Chelsea. Manchester United came from behind to beat Crystal Palace on Monday night to overtake their next opponent Liverpool. Arsenal and Chelsea continue to struggle but with matches still to play everything is still possible. Today we want to look at five best performers in the League last weekend.

5. Bernando Silva- Manchester City

The biggest game of matchday 29 was obviously Manchester City against Chelsea. Pep Guardiola side is getting closer to the Premier League title. Antonio Conte side continues to struggle despite lifting the crown in May 2017. The London Blues decided to park the bus at Etihad to minimize the damage but the fans and pundits called it a disastrous approach. Bernando Silva scored the only goal of the day to take all the headlines.

4. Lewis Dunk- Brighton

Brighton did the unthinkable last weekend when they defeated Arsenal 2-1 at home. The goals were scored by defender Lewis Dunk and forward Glenn Murray in the 7th and 26th minute respectively. The Centre back deserves all the praise here for a perfect performance against a top six side. Dunk did not only score to help collect the points but he also defended for 90 minutes to keep out the Gunners guns.

3. Nemanja Matic- Manchester United

Manchester United came from 2 goals down to win 3-2 on Monday night against Crystal Palace. The Red Devils had 55 minutes to forget but fought back to reclaim the second spot in the table. The visitor’s goals were scored by Chris Smalling, Romelu Lukaku, and Nemanja Matic. It was the first goal for the club for the Serbian International and he took it perfectly in the 90+1 minute. The win was crucial as they prepare to welcome Liverpool at Old Trafford next weekend.
