Premier League matchday 29 is done and dusted. Manchester City is now closer to clinching their third Premier League crown after thrashing defending Champions Chelsea. Manchester United came from behind to beat Crystal Palace on Monday night to overtake their next opponent Liverpool. Arsenal and Chelsea continue to struggle but with matches still to play everything is still possible. 6. Oriol Romeu- 77 tackles


Southampton midfield maestro Oriol Romeu continues to do his job at St. Marys. The Spaniard has resurrected his career after a terrible run since he switched to Chelsea from Barcelona. He has completed 77 tackles so far this season to help his club garner 28 points in 29 matches so far. Stoke City central midfielder Joe Allen also has 77 tackles so far this term.

5. Dale Stephens- 80 tackles

Brighton and Hove Albion defender Dale Stephens is certainly doing and commendable job. Chris Houghton side thrashed Arsenal 2-1 at home last weekend to move to the 10th place in the table with 34 points. The survival mission is almost complete because they only need at least seven more points to beat relegation.

4. Pablo Zabaleta- 83 tackles

Manchester City outcast has finally found a new home in London called West Ham United. Pep Guardiola refused to renew his contract but the Hammers thought he still has two years in his locker. The return has been great so far despite lack of pace. The Argentine has made 83 tackles so far.  The Hammers are 14th on the table with 30 points. They need to win a couple of games to stay away from relegation.

3. N’Golo Kanté- 86 Tackles

Chelsea best central midfielder N’Golo Kanté is slowly catching up with the rest after a poor start due to injury. The Frenchman is the main anchor in midfield. The Blues play well when he is fully fit. Antonio Conte needs to know he is more important to the team than Tiemoué Bakayoko. He has made 86 tackles so far this season.
