SUPER DUOs: Top 6 Deadliest DUOs in UEFA Champions League this Season

Manchester United will face Sevilla in the last 16 of UEFA Champions League. The Red Devil fans expect nothing else but a win against struggling Spanish side. Jose Mourinho has Alexis Sanchez available to play for him as he tries to win the coveted trophy for the third time in his career. Today, we are looking at deadliest duos in the competition today as we continue to enjoy the knockout stage.

6. Lukaku & Alexis (LA)

Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku has so far scored 19 goals in 37 appearances. The Belgian arrived last summer from Everton for a big fee of 75 million pounds. The Red Devils managed to convince Alexis Sanchez to leave Arsenal and switch to Old Trafford in January.

The Chilean is a natural goalscorer. In the first six months, he netted 8 goals in 21 matches in all competitions. Last season, he was the best scorer at Emirates with 30 goals in 51 matches. The two stars need to combine well to stead the massive Jose Mourinho ship to both domestic and European glory.

5. Lewandowski & Robben (LR)

Bayern Munich finished last season with only one trophy to their name. It was the first season they failed to reach Champions League semi-finals in five years. They were hammered by eventual winners Real Madrid in a dominant fashion. The Bavarians did not start the season well and Carlo Ancelotti paid the price. Robert Lewandowski and Arjen Robben are the engines of the team. The two have scored 31 goals between them and the season is only halfway.

4. Ronaldo & Bale (RB)

Real Madrid has not enjoyed a good season so far. They are already out of La Liga race and they were also knocked out of Copa del Rey. The only hope for Los Blancos fans is UEFA Champions League and they face PSG. Cristiano Ronaldo has not started the season well and Gareth Bale is struggling too. However, the two can shine in Europe given that it is the only trophy they can win now.
