Liverpool target’s agent reveals that he will play for Chelsea. Alvaro Morata warned Real Madrid about one man before his summer move. Antonio Conte defends his attackers after Arsenal draw.
Antonio Conte remained coy when quizzed about the speculation linking Chelsea with a move to sign Andy Carroll from West Ham in the January transfer window. A striker is a potential position the Blues want to strengthen to try and lighten the load on Alvaro Morata. And Carroll, 29, is one name to have been linked with a possible move to Stamford Bridge this month.
However, Conte was in no mood to give anything away when he was asked directly if Carroll could be a target for the west London side in the January transfer window. Conte told a news conference on Tuesday at Cobham: “I am very happy to work with my players and I’m very happy with the commitment of my players. The club knows very well the positions we can improve. Now there is a transfer market. If there is a possibility to find a good solution to improve the squad I think the club knows very well my opinion.”
3. “He will play for Chelsea” – Wolves and Liverpool target’s agent says
Telles, 25, has been the subject of much speculation during the first 11 days of the January transfer window. And reports in Portugal claim Wolves, Chelsea and Liverpool are keeping tabs on the Brazilian left-back. Telles’ agent revealed during the summer transfer window he has a hunch his client will represent the current Premier League champions at some stage in his career.
Fernando Otto told Goal.com: “I believe that maybe one day he will play for Chelsea. I don’t know if it’s going to be this season or the next. But I feel like one day he can play for Chelsea.” Telles reportedly has a €40million buyout clause at Porto. He has helped to an unbeaten start to the Primeira Liga season.
