2. Ousmane Dembele – £55.8m Increase
Market Value up 344.4% to £72m
Spending much of his first half season at Barcelona nursing long-term injury doesn’t appear to have hindered Ousmane Dembele’s climbing market value.
This time last year, the French winger was just halfway through his first season with Borussia Dortmund. A €105m move to Barcelona later and his market value has increased more than three-fold. Imagine when he actually gets into the swing of things.
1. Kylian Mbappe – £77.4m Increase
Market Value up 2,150% to £81m
Still only 19 years of age after celebrating his birthday in December; Kylian Mbappe has seen his market value explode after what he has achieved over the course of the last 12 months.
The teenage forward will become the second most expensive player of all time at the end of the season; when his loan from Monaco to Paris Saint-Germain is made permanent for £166m.
