Premier League match-day 15 is now fully behind us. The weekend started off on the right note for Chelsea fans with a well-deserved victory against Newcastle United. Liverpool and Everton won their matches ahead of the Merseyside Derby next weekend. Manchester United pulled off a miraculous win against Arsenal to book a date against bitter rivals City at Old Trafford next weekend. Today, we want to look at best performers last weekend apart from David De Gea.
5. Philippe Coutinho- Liverpool
Philippe Coutinho is the main reason why Liverpool thrashed Brighton 5-1 on Saturday. The Brazilian had his best game this season so far. He scored one goal, forced Dunk to score an own goal and also assisted two other goals. This means that he was directly involved in four out of five goals the Reds scored. Jurgen Klopp needs to reconsider his decision to let him join Barcelona next summer.
4. Roberto Firmino- Liverpool
Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino needed only two shots on target to net a brace against Brighton. The Brazilian goals helped stretch the game far away from the visitors. Chris Hughton side was threatening a comeback early on in the second half. Jurgen Klopp will welcome the valuable points because they take his side to position four in the table, one point ahead of Arsenal and four clear of Tottenham Hotspurs.
3. Eden Hazard- Chelsea
Chelsea clicks when Eden Hazard is on form. The Belgian is back to his best and Newcastle United players will know that by now. He had nine shots on target against the Magpies on Saturday and two of them were goals. He took a near panenka penalty to make it 3-1. He has to stay fit if the Blues want to challenge on all fronts this season.
