Arsene Wenger hits out at Pochettino; Arsenal ready to bring Steven N’zonzi back to the Premier League, while Giroud must leave Arsenal in January.
Arsene Wenger hits out at Mauricio Pochettino after Man United defeat
The Gunners slipped 15 points behind league leaders Manchester City and their hopes of lifting the trophy seemed to be all but over after a loss to Manchester United at the Emirates. Arsenal sits just three points ahead of north London rivals Spurs.
When asked if he’d written off lifting the Premier League trophy, like the Spurs boss had, he snapped: “I am not Pochettino, I am Arsene Wenger. I am here to fight as long as I can, as long as mathematically it’s possible you have to fight, you cannot give any other message out.”
Gunners poised to return for Sevilla ace Steven N’Zonzi
Arsenal are reportedly ready to bring Sevilla star Steven N’zonzi back to the Premier League, according to reports. The 28-year-old is believed to be unhappy with the La Liga side after falling out with boss Eduardo Berizzo following the 3-3 draw with Liverpool last month.
He hasn’t featured for Los Rojiblancos since coming off against the Reds back on November 21; his future hangs in the balance.
