5. Eden Hazard
Eden Hazard’s fine form this season has seen him linked with a move to Real Madrid in the summer. The Belgian is considered to be one of the most talented players in the world and if he maintains this form, he will definitely be a Ballon d’Or contender in the future.
Much like Pele, El Fenomeno has known for his goal-scoring prowess and clinical finishing but the Brazilian hitman was a rare breed. Often, we would see him making breathtaking solo runs, slaloming through the defence, and finally placing the ball past the ‘keeper with considerable ease.
With Santos, Neymar was twice named the South American Footballer of the Year, in 2011 and 2012, before relocating to Europe to join Barcelona. Last season, he scored 125 dribbles; more than anyone in Europe and more chances created than any other player in Spain’s top flight; the attacker has been nothing short of sublime.
