ARSENAL NEWS – Injuries, suspensions and line-up Ahead of Man United Clash

This will be the 18th meeting between Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho, with the Portuguese manager losing just two of these (W8 D7 L2). However, those two losses have come over the last four meetings (W1 D1 L2).

4. Wenger: “Not Waiting For Mourinho’s Parked Bus”

Arsene Wenger does not expect his old nemesis to “park the bus” when Manchester United visits the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. Arsenal has made 5 wins in from their past 6 League games, with a 5-0 trashing of Huddersfield on Wednesday.

United’s approach in big games this season, particularly their dour 0-0 draw against Liverpool, has brought criticism to Mourinho’s ways. But Wenger expects an attractive game.

“They will attack as well, they will not only defend. I haven’t seen them a lot [this season] and it’s not down to me to judge the way to play.” Wenger said.

3. Arsenal Injuries

“Look, we have offensive weapons, you know. We have Welbeck, we have Giroud, we have Wilshere who all came on,” said Wenger.

Spanish midfield maestro Santi Cazorla remains a long-term absentee with an Achilles injury. And Alexandre Lacazette will miss Saturday’s match with a groin injury sustained during the 5-0 thrashing of Huddersfield.
