4. Roy Hodgson wants Jack Wilshere at Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson is reportedly keen to bring in Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere during the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old faces an uncertain future at the Emirates, having entered the final year of his current deal.
Wilshere yet to start in the Premier League this term despite his impressive performances in the Europa League and EFL Cup.
Wilshere recently insisted that he is happy with Arsenal and is determined to fight for his place. But, according to The Telegraph, he is privately contemplating a change in January if his prospects do not improve.
The newspaper claims that ex-England boss Hodgson is particularly keen to be reunited with Wilshere.
The 70-year-old could swoop the playmaker in January as he looks to keep the Eagles safe in the Premier League.
3. Olivier Giroud plays down injury concerns
Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has dismissed concerns over his fitness by taking part in training with France on Wednesday afternoon.
The 31-year-old picked up an injury during training with the national team on Monday. The France international striker was pictured on the ground clutching his lower leg in pain.
However, Giroud was back taking part in normal drills with the rest of Didier Deschamps’s squad. The former Montpellier star could be in contention to feature in their international friendly double-header.
France will host Wales in Paris on Friday before taking on world champions Germany in Koln four days later.
2. Juventus keen on Hector Bellerin and Angel Di Maria
Juventus are reportedly plotting a double swoop for Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin and Paris Saint-Germain’s Angel Di Maria in January.
Bellerin, 22, is under contract at the Emirates until 2022. But questions were raised over his long-term future last summer amid a heavy pursuit by Barcelona.
The Old Lady are also thought to have held talks with the defender’s representatives at the time. And according to TMW, the Serie A side will make a fresh attempt to lure him to Italy in January.
Di Maria, meanwhile, is said to be Juve’s dream signing and will be their top target in the mid-season market. It is believed that a fee of £50m will be enough to secure the Argentine’s signature.
The 29-year-old has lost his place in the PSG side following the world-record arrival of Neymar in the summer.
The former Real Madrid star is also being courted by several clubs in the Premier League and Chinese Super League.
1. Arsenal want £30m from Manchester United for Mesut Ozil
Arsenal have reportedly slapped a price tag of £30m on playmaker Mesut Ozil amid interest from Manchester United.
The 29-year-old is on course to leave the Emirates on a free at the end of the season after failing to agree terms on a new deal to remain.
The Germany international is thought to be seeking at least a two-fold increase in his current weekly wage of £140,000.
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has previously been steadfast in his insistence that Ozil’s contract will be run down.
But according to the Daily Star, the Frenchman has now reluctantly conceded that it would be more sensible to try to cash in on the player in the January transfer window.
The newspaper claims that the London side will seek at least £30m in a straight cash deal for Ozil.
United boss Jose Mourinho is known to be a huge fan after their time together at Real Madrid.
