Paco Alcacer scored both goals last weekend to help Barcelona beat Sevilla 2-1. The win gives the Catalan giants a perfect record so far this season. The striker has struggled to get a regular spot on the team since he arrived in 2016. Last summer he was set to leave but no club was ready to pay what Camp Nou was asking for. Now he says he wants to stay to fight for his place in the team. Marcelo believes the fans are only trying to push Benzema forward.

4. Pepe criticize Madrid fans for lacking enthusiasm
Former Real Madrid defender Pepe has criticized Santiago Bernabeu fans for lacking real enthusiasm and passion in the game. The Portuguese center-back played for the Los Blancos between 2007 and 2017 before leaving last summer to join Besiktas. He lifted 3 La Liga titles, 3 Champions League crowns and 2 Club World Cup medals.
“Perhaps Real Madrid fans won’t like me saying this but they say Real Madrid fans transmit enthusiasm, but I don’t think they do. That’s not the reality,” Pepe told beIN Sports.
“The Besiktas fans are very passionate. When you go out onto the pitch the noise coming from the stands always hits you.”
“The atmosphere at Besiktas is very different to at Real Madrid. In Turkey people really love the sport, they only think about football.
“After games, we can hear the noise of the supporters until the early hours of the morning.”
3. Alcacer wants to remain at Barcelona despite rumor linking him elsewhere
“I am very clear about what I want,” Alcacer said.
“And what I want is to continue working here and improve day by day with Luis and Leo.
“They are the best forwards in the world and I want to learn a lot from them.”
2. Benzema was whistled because he was poor and must improve- Marcelo
Real Madrid fans expressed their disappointment with Karim Benzema performance against Las Palmas at Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday. The Los Blancos fans whistled him after missing clear-cut chances to put the hosts ahead. The French forward has scored only twice so far this season. This has seriously affected the team results pushing them 8 points behind Barcelona.
The vice-captain Marcelo believes the fans are only trying to push Benzema forward. The Brazilian says they want him to improve to help the team score goals.
“I’m not going to talk about injustice because everyone here has been whistled,” Marcelo told reporters.
“If they whistle you, you have to improve something. It’s hard to play when you’re whistled but you have to train like Benzema does, face it like he does.
“Whistles are part of football. It can’t all be wonderful.”
The left-back also spoke of lack of goals from Cristiano Ronaldo too so far this season. He says they are disappointed with poor form in front of goal but happy for positive results. The home side won the match 3-0 to get back to winning ways after losing to Girona and Tottenham in La Liga and Champions League.
“Well, they’ve been working for the team, I’ve seen them playing well.
“I’m asked this because they did not score, it’s normal. They’re really angry because they have not helped by scoring goals, but they’re happy for the victory.”
1. ‘Ronaldo will score a lot of goals soon’- Casemiro
Cristiano Ronaldo will start scoring goals again very soon according to Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro. The central midfielder opened the scoring in the 3-0 win against Las Palmas last weekend. He believes the Portuguese will start scoring soon despite the fact that he has scored only 1 goal in 7 matches so far in La Liga.
“What stands out for me are the chances that Cristiano has created and the desire to score that he always has,” he said, via the club’s website.
“He’ll score a lot of goals in the coming games. It doesn’t worry me.
“Benzema is the best No.9 in the world. He’s playing very well and I am sure that in the coming games he will be amongst the goals.”
Barcelona is currently eight points ahead of them but Casemiro believes they can still catch them.
“At Real Madrid, there is always pressure to win. People can say what they want. We are relaxed and know that there’s a long way to go,” he said.
“You have to take each match as it comes. Barcelona will surely lose as well and we still have two games to play against them.”
