SOKKAA BOSS PREDICTS: Games Of The Weekend (21-22 October)

SOKKAA BOSS PREDICTS: Games Of The Weekend (21-22 October)

Who will come out on top in European football this weekend? Below are the Sokkaa BossTeam’s tips and predictions!

Manchester City vs Burnley

Manchester City are in superb form, and after a great week in the champions league, they are back to domestic activities with a game against an average Burnley side. The Citizens are determined to win the league, and they need to keep their current form if they are to meet the goal.

Burnley made a very good start to the season; the Clarets sit in seventh place in the standings ahead of the trip to Manchester, but grabbing something from Saturday’s match against Pep Guardiola’s team is easier said than done.

Huddersfield vs Man United

Huddersfield Town made a good start to the season, but they do not seem to be on top of their game ahead of hosting Manchester United. The newcomers are desperate to give fans some cheer, but Saturday must not be their lucky day.

The Red Devils played out a goalless draw with Liverpool at the weekend and they now aim to start a new winning run in the Premier League. Romelu Lukaku failed to impress in the draw against Jurgen Klopp’s troops, but we think he will do better this time.

The Sokkaa Boss Predicts a heavy away win

Chelsea vs Watford

Chelsea will be looking to bounce back from a shocking 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace when they welcome Watford at their Stamford Bridge this weekend. Being 9 points from Man City, this has to go down as a must-win game for Antonio Conte’s troops.

Watford, on the other hand, come from behind to beat Arsenal in front of home fans at the weekend and they are certainly brimming with confidence ahead of the trip to London. However, there might be no value, betting on the underdogs this time out.

The Sokkaa Boss Predicts a narrow home win

Everton vs Arsenal

Arsenal seemed to have put their alarming loss at Liverpool behind them with a good run of form since, but slipped right back down when beaten at Watford last weekend. With another defeat at Stoke, the Gunners do not look like a team to rely on while on travels.

However, Everton’s form isn’t anything to shout about; a last-minute penalty at Brighton let Rooney save the side from a fifth loss in six Premier League matches. Arsenal may have some talented individuals but remain short of a driving force in midfield, which may lead to a draw.

The Sokka Boss Predicts a dull draw

Stoke City vs Bournemouth

Stoke experienced all sorts of problems in a 7-2 loss to Man City at Etihad Stadium, but it is well known that they produce much better performances at home than on their travels.

The Cherries suffered a 1-0 loss to Tottenham at Wembley Stadium at the weekend, with the team extending their losing run. With both sides aim to move away from the danger zone, a lively contest appears on the cards.

Swansea vs Leicester

Since Paul Clement came, Swansea picked up back-to-back wins against Liverpool and Southampton and they were unlucky to lose to a last-minute Gabriel Jesus winner against Manchester City.

Leicester City come into this match after five league games without a goal and with only one point in those five matches, they are in real danger of getting relegated. Plus, Leicester have not won away in the league all season.

The Sokkaa Boss Predicts a home win

Tottenham vs Liverpool

One of the top games of the weekend, Tottenham have ranked above Liverpool in four of the last five rounds of Premier League fixtures, but they only managed to scrape past Bournemouth 1-0, securing a first Premier League win at their temporary Wembley home.

Meanwhile, the Reds are coming off a couple of unimpressive draws; just one win in their last five league games has left them playing catch-up. Harry Kane will be keen to get at a shaky defence; Jordan Henderson and Emre Can may be outpaced by the more mobile Dele Alli.

The Sokkaa Boss Predicts a score draw

Aston Villa vs Fulham

Aston Villa look to be turning a corner already under new boss Steve Bruce; they will look to get the fans back on side as they host Fulham at Villa Park. They’re yet to lose here, but have picked up five draws from their opening six games.

Fulham have improved of late as well, with Slavisa Jokanovic’s side progressing nicely taking 4 points from 6. Fulham may have won at Barnsley, but Villa will be much harder to break down.

The Rest of Europe

Barcelona vs Malaga

Ernesto Valverde’s troops head into the match following a 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid; they are widely expected to return to winning ways this weekend.

Malaga suffered yet another disappointing defeat at the weekend; with the team failing to impress in a 2-0 loss to Leganes, and the rock-bottom team are likely to return home empty-handed this game too.

The Sokkaa Boss Predicts a heavy home win

Napoli vs Inter Milan

Napoli are determined to put an end to Juventus’ dominance in Serie A. In a flying start to the season, they will be looking to keep their 100% record in the Italian top flight intact with a win over Inter.

Inter are brimming with confidence following a 3-2 win over Milan in the Derby della Madonnina; but they will have a much bigger fish to fry this weekend.
