Who will come out on top in European football this weekend? Below are the Sokkaa Team’s tips and predictions!
Burnley vs West Ham United
The Hammers may have secured a vital late 1-0 win against Swansea at the London Stadium before the international break to give Bilic breathing space, but Sean Dyche’s in-form Burnley are up next.
The Clarets have started the campaign well with wins at Chelsea and Everton along with draws at Tottenham and Liverpool to leave them sixth in the table; a real threat to Bilic’s Hammers.
However, West Ham won every match from the previous 4 played against Burnley.
The Sokkaa Boss Predicts a score draw.
Crystal Palace vs Chelsea
It is hard to see Crystal Palace troubling a team like Chelsea with their current form. The Selhurst Park hosts are having a terrible run of form, with another defeat at home to Manchester United. They are one of the worst defences in the league at the moment with 12 goals conceded in the last 5 games.
Chelsea suffered a 1-0 loss to Manchester City in their last league fixture but that was only their second defeat so far this season, and also against evenly matched opponents like Pep Guardiola attacking team.
The Sokkaa Boss Predicts a heavy away win.
Brighton & Hove Albion vs Everton
Brighton (14th) and Everton (16th), both sit in the danger zone in the Premier League standings. The Seagulls may have failed with Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on Match day 7, but they are tough to beat at home and they are definitely capable of grabbing something from Everton.
Ronald Koeman did well to reinforce the squad in the summer transfer window, making over $100 million dollars in investments on new players; this is yet to pay off but it should start to soon. However, with Brighton without top scorer Tomer Hemed, this has to go down as a must-win game Everton.
The Sokkaa Boss Predicts a narrow away win.
Southampton vs Newcastle United
The Magpies struggled at Swansea last month and 1-0 defeats at fellow new-boys Huddersfield and Brighton makes for not the best start to the season. In head-to-head stats, The Saints are on a 3 match winning streak at home against the Magpies and kept a clean sheet in all of them.
The Sokkaa Boss Predicts a narrow home win.
Leicester vs West Bromwich Albion
Leicester City and WBA face each other at King Power Stadium in the closing match of day 8 in the Premier League. The visitors are likely to adopt a defence-minded approach like in Monday’s game against Leicester City.
Leicester are 17th in the table, and they have plenty to prove after the disappointment of their title defence in 2016/17. Leicester have won three of their six games against West Brom, including a 1-0 victory in their most recent game at the Hawthorns in April.
The Sokkaa Boss Predicts a score draw.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Bournemouth
Spurs have been struggling at home this season and they are after their first league win at Wembley Stadium. Harry Kane was struggling to find his best form in August, but he is now back scoring goals for fun.
Bournemouth on the other hand, are after their second win of the season, but seeing that they suffered a loss in each of their previous three away games, we think Eddie Howe’s troops are unlikely to win this one.
The Sokkaa Boss Predicts a heavy home win.

Watford vs Arsenal
With wins over the likes of West Bromwich Albion and Brighton, Arsenal climbed to fifth place in the table; they are eager to keep on raising their form to stay in the race for the title. The good news is, Sanchez has been in good form of late; which we saw as he helped Chile defeat Ecuador in the World Cup.
The Hornets on the other side were more than fortunate not to suffer a loss to WBA at the Hawthorns (2-2); they scored the equalizer in the dying seconds of the match, and this might not be possible with a strong Arsenal team.
The Sokkaa Boss Predicts goals, with a high scoring away win.
Liverpool vs Manchester United
Now to the big game of the weekend; all eyes will be on Anfield where Liverpool and Manchester United face each other in the Premier League North West Derby.
The Reds will need to stick to their attacking style of play as they plan to regain their spot in top four; Jurgen Klopp’s men missed a number of clear-cut chances to score in a 1-1 draw against Newcastle United, and if chances are on their side, they might find the net in the match against their all-time rivals Manchester United.
The Red Devils, on the other hand, are on a three-game winning run ahead of the trip to Liverpool and they aim to climb to top position in the table. Plus, chances are Romelu Lukaku might recover to face Liverpool.
The Sokkaa Boss Predicts a heated away win.
The Rest of Europe
Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona
Another big game; the Catalan giants are definitely determined to regain their throne and they have been producing thrilling displays in La Liga so far this season. Barca face a difficult task against Atletico Madrid, who would not be too disappointed with one point from the game.
Atletico needs to stay in the title race too, but they are likely to rely on their rock-solid defence in the La Liga derby against Leo Messi’s Barca.
The Sokkaa Boss Predicts a low score draw.
AS Roma vs Napoli
The Romans are on a five-game winning run in all competitions ahead of the Serie A derby against Napoli. They proved their potential in a tremendous 2-0 win over Milan in their last league fixture.
Napoli impressed with a routine 3-0 win over Cagliari on day 7, but Roma is nothing like Cagliari. Anyhow, both teams are in terrible form, and we might see both teams scoring; much like their last meeting in the Italian capital where Napoli recorded a 2-1 win over Roma.
The Sokkaa Boss Predicts a similar outcome with a home win.
Inter Milan vs AC Milan
Milan and Inter, two bitter rivals, face each other at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in the Derby della Madonnina.
Milan are looking to get over their last loss to AS Roma; but beating Inter in the local derby is easier said than done. They have been struggling to find consistency and after spending over $100 million more on players; their team cohesion is lacking.
Inter, have performed spectacular football since the start of their campaign; and they are currently enjoying 3rd place, after netting six goals in the Italian top flight to date. Inter are likely to prove a handful for their opposing defenders.
The Sokkaa Boss Predicts a home win.
