When KD, Curry, and Iguodala joined forces, reports were spread saying that the Golden State Warriors have built a dynasty. According to different NBA experts, the Warriors will be unbeaten for the next three years or more. But basing on other teams’ new signings this year, the Warriors dynasty may be destroyed early. Thanks to their signings, here are five NBA teams that would be threats to the Warriors’ dynasty this season.
5. Boston Celtics
Boston Celtics received guard Kyrie Irving from Cleveland Cavaliers. Irving is one of the best point guards in the NBA today. Having someone capable of scoring more than 40 points in one game is very helpful for the squad. Irving joined forces with the forward Gordon Hayward. Last season, the Cavs knocked Celtics out. This season, Cavs’ own weapon may backfire them.
4. San Antonio Spurs
Last year, the Spurs waived the NBA Playoffs due to unexpected injuries. Toni Parker and Kawhi Leonard had injuries during the NBA Playoffs. Manu Ginobili would not stand in front of the Warriors alone. But if they stay fit and healthy, opponents will feel their presence.
3. Houston Rockets
Houston Rockets received guard Chris Paul from LA Clippers. Chris joining James Harden makes a very strong front line, too hard to break. Rockets were already a threat with Harden alone. How do you think is going to look like by adding another all-star? Last season, Rockets lost to the Warriors in the NBA Playoffs. The question is, will the history repeat itself?
2. Oklahoma City Thunder
OKC’s Westbrook could destroy every single NBA team with his triple-doubles. The 2017 NBA MVP got the attention last season and he is likely to draw it more than ever this season. Oklahoma City Thunder received forward Paul George from Indiana Pacers and forward Carmelo Anthony from New York Knicks. This trio may end becoming a threat to many NBA teams.
1. Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavs are the best team in transactions this season. After reaching three straight NBA Finals, Cavs added three All-Stars, including a 2011 NBA MVP on their squad. The Cavs signed a guard Derrick Rose, 2011 NBA MVP, to a Contract.
Through Kyrie Irving trade, Cleveland Cavaliers received guard Isaiah Thomas, forward Jae Crowder, and center Ante Zizic from Boston Celtics. Things didn’t end there as LeBron has to reunite with his best friend, guard Dwyane Wade. Remember what the duo did in Miami Heat and imagine what they will do this time alongside D-Rose, Isaiah, and JR Smith.
