The full 2017-18 regular-season schedule is being finalized and will be announced next week. On Thursday, the NBA released the schedule for the opening week and the Christmas day games. The Christmas day will be to be breathtaking for basketball lovers around the world. Here is the schedule.
Opening week games
The first four days of the 2017-18 season will be on Oct. 17-20, featuring 14 different teams. October 17 is going to be a monster opening night. The Warriors will first raise their second championship banner in three years. Then take on a retooled Houston Rockets team led by James Harden and Chris Paul. The Cavaliers will be hosting the Boston Celtics in a rematch of the Eastern Conference finals.
The 18th of October will feature two upstart teams taking on playoff powers. Washington Wizards will play host to Philadelphia 76ers’ Joel Embiid and No. 1 draft pick Markell Fultz. On Oct. 19, the New York Knicks go against reigning MVP Russell Westbrook and the new-look (Paul George) Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Cavaliers visit the Milwaukee Bucks to kick off on October 20, Friday night. The Warriors will travel to New Orleans to face the Pelicans’ Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins, closing out the night.
