Over the past few seasons, La Liga has lost some of its greatest forwards from the past decade; Sergio Aguero, Diego Forlan, Di Maria, Neymar, etc. Yet, despite that drain of talent; gone Best Forwards; Spain still houses many of Europe’s elite finishers.
While Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi obviously feature on this list, one or two names on this list might come as a bit of surprise.
5. Iago Aspas
There is no denying the fact that Aspas, the Liverpool reject and now highest scoring Spaniard in the League was one of the standout performers in La Liga last season. Finding space in tight areas is Aspas’ speciality.
4. Antoine Griezmann
Having been a contender for the Ballon d’Or award in 2016; his performance in the 2016/17 season went far down compared to the high standards he had set in 2015/16 and in Euro 2016. But he is still someone. Griezmann is praised for his work rate, defensive contribution and stamina.
3. Luis Suarez
Despite a low performance in the last season, there is no point arguing with Suarez’s number; 29 goals and the highest number of assists in the league (13); sounds like Suarez. Suarez has once again shown that he is one of the best players not just in La Liga but the world.
