5. Victor Lindelof arrives at Carrington to complete medical ahead of £30m transfer

Benfica defender Victor Lindelof arrived at Manchester United’s training ground this morning to complete a medical ahead of joining the Red Devils.

United announced a deal for the Swede on Saturday after agreeing a £30m deal with the Portuguese giants.

The 22-year-old came close to moving to Old Trafford in January; but Jose Mourinho remained extremely keen on signing the defender to partner Eric Bailly.

And the Sweden international was pictured in the north-west today being driven into United’s training ground to undergo a medical.

4. Arsenal launch £10m Simon Kjaer bid

Arsenal have reportedly launched a £10m offer for Fenerbahce centre-back Simon Kjaer.

The 28-year-old joined Fenerbahce on a four-year contract in June 2015; and the defender made 27 Super Lig appearances for his Turkish outfit during the 2016-17 campaign.

Liverpool have previously been credited with an interest in the experienced defender; but according to TurksVoetbal, Arsenal have made a £10m offer as head coach Arsene Wenger looks for defensive reinforcements this summer.

The same report claims that Liverpool have previously been quoted £17.5m for Kjaer; but Arsenal are confident that a bid of £10m would force Fenerbahce into a sale.

3. Arturo Vidal eyeing China move

Arturo Vidal is reportedly eyeing a move away from Bayern Munich – because he wants a big pay day in China.

The Chilean international, now 30, has two years left on his deal in Bavaria.

But according to Sport1, he’s desperate for one last big-money contract, to set him up for life.

He’s going to struggle to get a move this summer however, with Bayern wanting to keep him, after losing Xabi Alonso.

But that could change with Clementin Tolisso arriving from Lyon. And if Vidal’s heart isn’t in Bavaria, then the German side could cash in.

2. Chelsea to demand £10m from Liverpool for Dominic Solanke

Chelsea will reportedly demand £10m from Liverpool for Dominic Solanke following his impressive performances for England in the Under-20 World Cup.

The 19-year-old agreed a move to Anfield last month; but a compensation fee still needs to be paid due to Solanke being under the age of 24.

According to the London Evening Standard, the Blues initially wanted £8m after rejecting Liverpool’s £3m offer; but following Solanke’s four-goal contribution during the England Under-20s’ tournament, the fee has increased.

The teenager ended the World Cup as second top scorer and scooped the Golden Ball after being chosen as best player of the tournament in Korea.

Sunday’s 1-0 victory over Venezuela resulted in England winning their first World Cup at any level since 1966.

If Chelsea and Liverpool cannot agree a fee for Solanke, the case will go to a tribunal next month.

1. Manchester United hint at Wayne Rooney departure on Facebook

Manchester United have appeared to suggest that Wayne Rooney will no longer be part of the club next season.

The captain’s future has been widely discussed in the media over the last few months; with many claiming that he could leave Old Trafford due to the lack of first-team action.

The 31-year-old forward rejected a big-money move to the Chinese Super League in January; instead pledging his short-term future to the Red Devils.

Recently, Rooney revealed that he has received offers from clubs in England and abroad; with MLS in the United States being touted as a potential option.

According to the Manchester Evening News, United have indicated that Rooney will leave the club after removing him from their banner on Facebook.

The forward was initially part of a picture lineup alongside Jesse Lingard, Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera; but now only three players remain in the image advertising the club’s new kit.
