4. Kevin Durant may be the best player in the world today
The former Celtics, Paul Pierce, claimed Kevin Durant to be the best player in the world today. He said this after the Warriors’ victory against the Cavaliers in the NBA Finals Game 2.
Durant has certainly impressed in the first two games of the NBA Finals. He’s averaging 35.5 points per game while shooting 56.3 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range. He has scored a total of 71 points in two last games. It means, he has already outscored more points than Harrison Barnes did in the entire 2016 NBA Finals (65 points in seven games).
If the Warriors go on to win the title, Durant will probably be the Finals MVP. But he still has a lot to do, so as to knock down LeBron. Remember, the last time it was implied that someone is better than LeBron, James went on to lead the Cavs to the greatest comeback in the NBA history.
